Bedellia somnulentella


 Rare micro and only the second confirmed record in Staffordshire. The grub eats bindweed and morning glory. It is small and slender with a posture that slightly sits-up. The attennae are very long and the head tuft has grey and white. Elsewhere it has appeared brownish.

A rare migrant first seen on the Essex coast in 1951, Now established in southern and eastern counties. First seen in Staffs in 2022 and now recorded increasingly. This is the first appearance for SK00.
