 White-bodied conch moth. Only second record for Staffordshire. First was in August.

 Flame carpet in full colour.

 Mirificarma mulinella, Gorse groundling. Only 4 previous sightings in the County since 1995.

 A badger cub a mere 34 cm in height.

 Cereal Tortrix. Only the second record in Staffordshire.

 Yesterday the wheat field adjacent to the garden was harvested and the following morning this Meal moth was seen.

 Maple Pug. Seen elsewhere in the County, but not recorded before in SK00 (10km square including Hammerwich).

 

The false Cacao moth. Has been recorded throughout Staffordshire, but this is the first time for the 10 square kilometres around Hammerwich.

 Shark moth. New record for the garden.

 Apple-fruit moth, Argyresthia conjugella. New to SK00 area.

 Wasp beetle, Clytus arietis. A wasp mimic for a longhorn beetle - quite harmless.

 Shuttle-shaped dart. A common moth, but this one was fresh and perfectly marked.

 Agonopterix alstromeriana. Not seen in Hammerwich area since before 1995.

 Chamomile Shark new to Hammerwich since 1995.

 March tubic - melanic and type  

 Agonopterix scopariella, Broom flat-body, seen in March, 2021, only the fifth record for Staffordshire. Other records are for south Staffordshire and so appears to be moving northwards.
