 Roesel's Bush-cricket in a moth trap! It is spreading at an alarming pace northwards due to climate change and is now appearing across South Staffordshire. This is a female.

Caloptilia semifascia or Maple Slender. Only the third record in Staffs.




 Gelechia nigra. First record for Staffordshire and only the third in the West Midlands. Possibly the most inland record of this micro moth.

Male badger from last year has learned to arrive early and bag all the peanuts. (25th)



5 badgers last night (22nd). One mother in foreground, two from this year (one hidden behing front left badger and one to its right) and two from last year. 




 Visited by three badgers last night. Is this mother and two cubs?



 Agonopterix propinquella or Black-spot flat-body. Uncommon in Staffs. Had a previous sighting in 2010.
