Bedellia somnulentella
Rare micro and only the second confirmed record in Staffordshire. The grub eats bindweed and morning glory. It is small and slender with a posture that slightly sits-up. The attennae are very long and the head tuft has grey and white. Elsewhere it has appeared brownish.

Dewick's Plusia
A rare migrant first seen on the Essex coast in 1951, Now established in southern and eastern counties. First seen in Staffs in 2022 and now recorded increasingly. This is the first appearance for SK00.

A rare migrant for Staffordshire, usually seen in Autumn. Seems to be a good year for its appearance.

Rosemary beetle
The Rosemary beetle, Chrysolina americana, was first found in London in the 1990s. It has since spread across the country with a few early records in Staffordshire. This beetle was attracted to a moth trap.

Bill taken on a new trail camera. Two old cameras, one slightly damaged, taken in a burglary in which very little was taken! Replacing the window glazed unit cost about the same as the stuff taken. WHY? If the burglar is watching this, I would like to have a chat in confidence; he is obviously desparate and needs help. You also probably need help with your new camera.
