Ichneumon wasp, Diphyus quadripunctorius.

Only 8 records reliably known for UK and most are from Nottinghamshire. It is a new record for Staffordshire. It was seen on 10th July and its id verified by Gavin Broad of the Natural History Museum.

Regal piercer and small mottled willow

The left regal piercer is a first for Hammerwich and there have only been 5 area records in Staffs since 1995.

The small mottled willow is a migrant and is seen more in coastal areas. There have been 7 area records in Staffs since 1995.
